JESC 2014: Slovenia Becomes the Latest Addition

Vladislav Yakovlev, Executive Supervisor of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of the European Broadcasting Union is proud to confirm that the latest addition to the family will be none other than Slovenia. RTVSLO, a proud member of the senior edition of the Eurovision Song Contest since 1993 will be making their debut in Malta, encompassing the slogan #together which the Public Broadcasting Services decided to work upon.

“We believe that this is good news and will offer Slovenian viewers a first-class children’s festival, and magnificent show in which they will be rooting for their favorite” added Mario Galunič, Head of Entertainment at RTVSLO. The national broadcaster will be selecting both the artist and the song internally, with both the entertainment and the children’s departments coordinating together on the selection process.

Slovenia is the third country to debut, following in the footsteps of Montenegro and Italy who recorded positive results in the Eurovision Song Contest in recent years, with Italy managing three top ten results in four years, and Montenegro reaching the final for the very first time in 2014. We urge you to stay tuned to even through Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news as soon as it becomes available.
