Alexander Rybak, male singer/songwriter who ascent to fame came to fruition following his triumph at the 2009 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest with his “Fairytale” has made it public knowledge that he has ‘a clear desire to write a song for the Malta Eurovision Song Contest’, thus confirming the recent rumours published by escflashmalta.com when the Norwegian/Belarusian artist was in Malta for a short visit just a couple of days ago. The local artist he met up with was none other than two-time Malta Eurovision Song Contest participant, Franklin Calleja.
In an interview with The Sunday Times of Malta, Alexander Rybak also showed willingness to support the Public Broadcasting Services in putting on this year’s edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, stating that he ‘would definitely on a great show for all of you to enjoy’. The singer/songwriter’s scope of the interview was to promote his latest release, “Into a Fantasy” which has in turn been included in the soundtrack for the DreamWorks Motion Picture, ‘How To Train Your Dragon 2’.
