On the 15th November, Malta will be playing host to this year’s edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and with 15 countries officially confirmed, it seems that both the European Broadcasting Union and the Public Broadcasting Services are working hard to ensure that this is the most successful broadcast of the show in recent years. It seems that the #Together, the tagline chosen to accompany the event is working like a charm.
escflashmalta.com is in a position to reveal that hosting duties for the 2014 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest have been given to Moira Delia. This comes directly from a source close to the Public Broadcasting Services, who went onto state that she will be doing it alone, with no co-hosts. The female hostess, a veteran of the local television scene has most recently been involved in two programmes; “Animal Diaries” on Television Malta and “Ilsien in-Nisa” on ONE Television.
At the event, Malta will be represented by Federica Falzon, the 11 year-old mezz-soprano who won the last cycle of ”Ti Lascio Una Canzone”, a singing competition broadcast on RAI Uno. Her original entry, untitled at this point in time is co-written by Federica Falzon, Gillian Attard, Elton Zarb and Matthew Mercieca. All the songwriters bar Federica were responsible for the winning entry at the 2013 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
