“Parachute”, composed by Florent Boshnjaku and penned by Matt ‘Muxu’ Mercieca, will be the song that Christina Magrin will perform on behalf of Malta at this year’s edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, taking place in Valletta. The song, along with the promotional video will be made public during the 8 o’clock news bulletin this Thursday.
Malta will be playing host to the international spectacle for the 2nd time in three years, having finished in 1st place as a result of an excellent performance by Destiny Chukunyere at the 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with her song, “Not My Soul”, also penned by Muxu and composed by Elton Zarb.
On the 20th November, the Public Broadcasting Services in conjunction with the European Broadcasting Union will be hosting no less than 16 delegations, apart from Christina Magrin and her team, but in the days leading up to the main event, there will be several events held around Valletta, including an opening ceremony hosted by actress Taryn Mamo Cefai at the Manoel Theatre.
All this information was made public by John Bundy, Chief Executive Officer of the Public Broadcasting Services during an interview with Antonella Vassallo on the popular daytime magazine programme, Twelveto3.
