After disappearing from the calendar for a number of years, the Malta Music Awards has made a rival – with the next edition taking place this weekend at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre. This year also marks 25 years since the first edition of the show took place.
This year’s event kicked off with a launch party at the newly opened Planet Hollywood in Paceville, where the acts nominated for awards were also presented. All spectrums of the music industry will be given during the main event, with categories recognising songs, bands, songwriters and producers being presented. The award for “Best Song” has been put to a public vote, which you can vote on HERE.
During the show itself on Saturday, performances are expected from a variety of local acts. The lineup features heavyweights such as Ira Losco, Red Electrick and The New Victorians, in addition to breakout artists from the last few years such as Emma Muscat, Michela and Aidan. Fresh from the latest season of X Factor Malta, girlband F.A.I.T.H will also be making their first major appearance on the TV show. The full line-up of stars can be seen on the Malta Music Awards website HERE.
You can get involved in the action yourselves by attending the event too – tickets are still available at Shows Happening.
