Chandelier - Sia (Aus)

Sia's vocals on this track are are just inhumane, they are so good !!! I havent hear sia ever sing like this in any of her songs shes always the type of artist to have a very chilled vibe to her work but what shes done here is pure genius so so powerful! definatley my ultimate summer track!

Summer - Calvin Harris (UK)

The title of the song speaks for itself ! such a summer tune everytime it comes on the crowd goes wild , great vibe well done calvin once again

Federica Falzon, a student of La Voix Academy under the direction of Gillian Attard and also recent winner of the talent show "Ti Lascio Una Canzone" on RAI Uno had the opportunity to perform a duet with Joseph Calleja during his annual concert on The Granaries last night. Their interpretation of the Gianni Morandi classic "In Amore" received a rapturous applause from the 30,000 strong audience, whilst also commended in both local and foreign press.

Shortly after her triumphant run on Italian Television, and on her way back to Malta, she was revealed by the Public Broadcasting Services as representative of Malta at the 2014 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. It was the beginning of a new journey, signing to Ironic PR & Artist Management, home to a host of artists such as; Davinia, Maxine Pace, Shauna Vassallo, Gaia Cauchi, Christina Magrin, Kurt Cassar and many others whose sole aim is to succeed.

June!! Known to be the month where everybody finishes exams, the days grow longer, and people are always sun kissed, meaning that happiness is spread quickly. It is also the time for sun, sun, sun, and of course, a couple of parties here and there. Music is still at the forefront of my daily routine, and the music released this past month deserves a round of applause, because it is off the beat. In the meantime though, I would like to thank you ALL for the massive support that you have given my latest single "Ouch!" which has been receiving AMAZING feedback both from YOU the general public as well as radio stations alike. Anyway, enough with the chit-chat, these are my TOP FOUR songs for the month of June!

Shake That - Dansson & Marlon Hoffstadt (DE)

This is by far the best tune this month, and everytime it comes on the radio or at a party, I automatically get into a good mood and start dancing :) It has an extremely good vibe and the rhythm is just awesome.

Marilyn Monroe - Pharell Williams (US)

It would have been silly to leave this out of the top tunes of the month, considering that I adore every second of this song. His vocals are so slick on this track that it takes me back in time. That said, it does have a modern twist, and one which will be on several playlists during the course of June and the rest of the summer months.

Solo Dancing - Indiana (UK)

If you have not heard this track just yet, then you are going to fall in love, instantly. It is catchy and addictive, giving the listener a sense of peace and freedom. It is going to be another one of thise massive ones this season, for sure.

A Sky full of Stars - Coldplay (UK)

Coldplay need no introduction in music, and they have indeed done it again. This track is beautiful, making you think of that someone special, and giving you hope that one is in love whatever the circumstances in life actually are! :)

"I was just four years old when I first started taking singing lessons under the guidance of Doreen Galea and, later, Brian Cefai" is the way that Gillian Attard kicked-off her feature interview with Jo Caruana for Style on Sunday. As Director of La Voix Academy, she has coached the likes of Gaia Cauchi and Federica Falzon to successful endeavours in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and Ti Lascio Una Canzone, whilst as Co-Founder of Ironic PR & Artist Management, she has signed up the likes of Davinia, second runner-up at the 2013 Malta Eurovision Song Contest.

La Voix Academy has recently turned five years old and Gillian Attard has "never looked back" on the project, dedicating her time to add strength and integrity to the local music scene. With success in shows such as 'Ti Lascio Una Canzone', 'Io Canto', and the 'Junior Eurovision Song Contest', she is aiming for bigger projects in the future, going onto state "expect to see us taking part in The Voice and X Factor Italy in the future too". Gillian has proven herself determined to see her ventures succeed, keeping the progress of music and talent at the core of her heart.

"I am also challenge by the future. I recently launched a PR and Management arm so that we can manage our artists locally and overseas, and I am proud to announce that the academy will now also have its very own orchestra, under the direction of Mro Joseph Chircop". With so many festivities during summer, look out for Gillian and the students of La Voix Academy. Whilst listening to Malta's Top Ten with Nathan D on 89.7 Bay a couple of years back, I remember one female vocalist in particular. Peaking at number #1 with a debut single is not easy, but this was Davinia, an individual who works hard and never takes no for an answer. Acquiring the attention of songwriters Elton Zarb and Matthew Mercieca, a fruitful collaboration ensued leading to the release of "Feel Good Song" and "Sail Away", successful radio singles.

It was towards the end of 2012 that Davinia tried her luck and sent in a submission to the Malta Eurovision Song Contest. "Betrayed" had a Bond vibe surrounding it and the professional panel of judges definitely made the right call by putting it through, eventually allocating it in third place. A debut which led to a top three finish in a year where the festival was seemingly all about Kevin Borg. Davinia has not shied away from the local music scene in the past year, going onto release three singles; "You are my Home", "Brand New Day" and most recently "Ouch!", the latter being a collaboration with Matthew Mercieca and Carlo Gerada.

This come to fruition after the 1 year agreement with Ira Losco came to a formal end earlier this year. We would like to thank the outgoing blogger for her services as we continue to support her music endeavours. On behalf of Ironic PR & Artist Management, Matthew Mercieca is proud to present Davinia to the escflashmalta.com editorial team and hope that her attitude towards life, a bubbly one will be shown through her writing. Stay tuned to escflashmalta.com even on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news.
