The Eurovision Song Contest was created following the nationwide success of the Sanremo competition noting that the European Broadcasting Union thought it would be a grand idea to unite several countries from Europe under one roof to compete with the element of song kept in mind. The competition has grown strong over the years with certain participants entering as absolute newcomers, coming out as nation and at times even worldwide icons. The last edition was won by Sweden who were represented by Loreen who had won the annual Melodifestivalen selection last year with the track Euphoria. The competition, annually staged in the month of May will be divided into three (3) shows, the two (2) semi-finals on Tuesday and Thursday and then a final on Saturday.

Each respective page in this section of the website will be closely following the participants chosen for the respective countries as drawn by the organizing broadcaster during the Insignia Exchange when the host city and the country is officially appointed by the European Broadcasting Union as the next host of the Eurovision Song Contest.
