Maltese singer and artist Amber is thrilled to announce the launch of her single called "What They Say". The song forms part of Amber's upcoming debut album which will be released later this year in Europe and the United States of America.

“What They Say” is composed with Amber in mind. It is a pop song with a dash of jazz, a characteristic that distinguishes Amber from many other pop artists. What makes this song special for Amber is the fact that she took an active role from the initial concept to production. The song is a rhythm and blues (R'n'B) song mixed with Amber’s jazzy and bluesy voice, which makes a unique and interesting blend. Amber’s vocal uniqueness is highlighted in this song to offer the listener a very pleasant texture.

“What They Say” is the creation of Matt Muxu Mercieca, an established singer and song writer and Elton Zarb, an accomplished musician who has scored for movies released by Universal and eOne, with the participation of Amber. “What They Say” is available for download from iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Google Play and other online digital stores. We urge you to stay tuned to escflashmalta.com even through Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news about Amber, Malta's participant in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest.

JESC 2015: Federica Set to Read Out The Points

Described by many as the girl with the big voice, Federica Falzon became a national treasure by virtue of achieving victory in one of the most beloved international talent competitions for children, Ti Lascio Una Canzone, before being chosen to represent Malta at the 12th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. “Diamonds”, composed by Elton Zarb with lyrics by Matt ‘Muxu’ Mercieca, had the distinct honour of being the first, and thus far only entry to be performed on home soil. It finished in 4th place, receiving maximum 12 points from Italy, the eventual winner of the competition.

Since then, Federica Falzon has gone from strength to strength, re-branding herself by virtue of becoming a style icon, setting an example to her peers, and to all those children who aim to reach their goals in life. In just a couple of days, she will continue her journey, having been tasked with the opportunity to present the Maltese points during the 13th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

As a result, she is accompanying this year’s representative, Destiny Chukunyere whose entry “Not My Soul” has been drawn to be performed in slot number #15. It is hard to believe that it has already been a long week of rehearsals at the Wiener Stadhalle in Vienna, Austria and today marks the second time that the acts of the 2nd semi-final take to the stage, including our very own "Warrior", Amber. Vocally flawless, there was a certain aura surrounding the vocalist that saw her feeling more at ease with the surroundings, and thus emerging as more relaxed on camera.

The beautiful black lace, shimmers through the blue light, and creates a rather beautiful visual. Once the songs' chorus kicks in, a change of colour ensues, with orange becoming predominant as wings are shown on screen to emit the idea of being independent, free and fighting for what you believe in.

This was a much polished rehearsal, which only augurs well for Amber, Elton Zarb, Matt 'Muxu' Mercieca, and the rest of the Maltese Delegation, as the date of the semi-final etches closer. Malta: Stefan Galea Endorses a More Mature Sound

Stefan, an 18 year old student and music artist, has spent months in the studio working hard on his new sound, vocally and musically. This time he has teamed up with a successful team of local writers who have written and produced various hits for the Maltese market. ‘Escape’ is written by Matt (Muxu) Mercieca and produced by Carlo Gerada. Dance is the genre which best describes this song, setting out to appeal to the club dancefloors. The modern sound gives it a fresh twist, something which is very current in today’s music industry.

The song puts forward a message of a relationship which is not living up to it’s expectations, and even though the individual seeks to try everything in order to save his relationship, he knows that it is still of no use, which is why he must forget and move on, therefore he must ‘Escape’ from the love he shared with his partner.

Stefan gained critical acclaim for his debut single ‘Disco Lemonade’ which charted at 12 on the local iTunes charts, and for being a finalist in the Malta Junior Eurosong 2009. He has had the opportunity to perform as a supporting act for Malta's best selling singer/songwriter Ira Losco, the UK pop duo The Cheeky Girls, The beatles tribute band, and also Texanna at the Farsons Great Beer Festival. Last December he also formed part of the cast as a chorus member in the highly acclaimed MADC panto ‘Rapunzelstiltskin’.

The single ‘Escape’ was mixed and mastered by Elton Zarb, special thanks to Ally for the vocal coaching, with credits to Marlon Polidano for the official press photo and also to the fashion designer, Parascandalo Marco who dressed up Stefan with items from his collection. We urge you to stay tuned to escflashmalta.com even through Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news from the local music scene.
