Eurovision 2012: The Draw for the Running Order - LIVE
Written by Marc Calleja BaylissThe Heads of Delegation Meeting that commenced yesterday proved to be quite the interesting start to the 2012 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest knowing that one song is yet to be delivered until the end of the week due to a breach in rules and regulations within the lyrics yet what has also been presented thus far are plans for the greenroom and a general idea of the stage which is set to be quite different than it has been for the past couple of years with the organizers saying that it will be special and unexpected. Nevertheless, the focus of the day lies with the draw of the running order as all of the countries will be given a starting position today.

Following the withdrawal of Armenia from the musical showcase, it has not been set in stone that there will be eighteen countries competing in each semi-final along with a total of twenty six countries competing in the final. The current finalists include the Big Five made up of France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom as well as the winner of the previous year being Azerbaijan. These pre-qualified countries will also be choosing their starting position, through a random draw except the first one whose name comes up and therefore will have the decision to decide where to perform. Stay tuned to this page as from 11:20am CET as we follow the draw for the running order through the official website of the Eurovision Song Contest which is using it's video platform to broadcast the event.
