Maltese people tend to comment that the local music scene tends to be monopolized by some of the leading figures but then again, it is somewhat of an achievement what some artists have managed to overcome, some have even lost their place amongst the elite before regaining it because it is something that they strive to achieve. One of such individuals is none other than Fabrizio Faniello, the two time Eurovision Song Contest representative who was actually the first local artist to reach foreign waters for quite some time by virtue of signing a management and record deal with the German based company CAP Sounds which saw him succeed in countries such as Norway, Sweden and Germany. He released a multitude of albums which peaked at number #1 in Malta but following his second stint at the musical event, in which he did not perform well in the results, he was somewhat sidelined. Nevertheless, he did not give up and returned better than ever with brand new material.

Fabrizio Faniello would like to give the Eurovision Song Contest another shot and it does not look like the people do not want him to do saw placing him in fifth position in the Maltese selection for two years in succession. In recent months, he secured a record deal with Nagasawara, which is actually quite well known in Asia and together with his management, Fabrizio is creating a successful career there having managed to perform with some of the most popular groups in the continent. He has made a name for himself and has thousands of fans waiting to hear him perform every time that he is billed to make an appear somewhere making him somewhat of a star because he is now being hounded even at the airport showing him what a true star feels like. The time zone is of course very different in Asia and what I do know is that Fabrizio just launched a brand new album entitled Kasmaran there and is performing in a major event today actually.
