Italy: Official Video for Nina Zilli Released
Written by Marc Calleja BaylissSweden seems to be the country to beat in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest but according to pundits, Italy might be one of those countries who can cause the upset because Nina Zilli and her entry bearing the title L'Amore È Femmina (Out Of Love) seem to have the potential to become a renowned song in both the history of the competition and in several charts across the continent. When the singer was announced following Sanremo held in February, there were gasps from the world of Italian music and the Eurovision because Nina is not an upcoming artist and is currently signed to Universal Music Italy with which she has released two studio albums, the first being Sempre Lontano which peaked at number #5 and the second being L'Amore È Femmina which managed to climb to number #11 which is also relatively good.

In the past couple of weeks, Nina has been putting up a series of one off concerts in support of her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest and also her album but she has also made a number of television appearances. There are a lot of high hopes in Italy that she could achieve yet another great result and I truly believe that they could be the ones to beat Sweden come two weeks time when the actual event takes place. The song has been reworked into a bi-lingual version as one could note from the title. The official video of the track was released earlier this week and the bi-lingual version also followed. You could view the video just below and one can also see how much effort is being put in by both RAI and Universal Music Italy to make sure that Nina gives a very good performance in Baku, Azerbaijan. Remember that Malta is competing in the second semi-final with Kurt Calleja and his entry This Is The Night. Stay tuned to all the latest news with escflashmalta.com as we aim to continue covering the event.
