Next years' edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will be staged in Malmo, Sweden and several countries have already confirmed their participation within the esteemed music event including Albania whose broadcaster, RTSH is coming off their best result in the competition thus far thanks to a fifth place finish by Rona Nishliu and her track Suus. In an recent interview, the Albanian Head of Delegation went on record stating that next year as has been the case, no foreign songwriters will be eligible to submit with all of the songs received in the next couple of weeks, reviewed separately on the 17th October.

The Festivali I Kenges has been the selection method for Albania since their debut in 2004 when Anjeza Shanini had done the honours with The Image of You. It is normally the second national final of the year following the one held in Switzerland. People have also become accustomed to the song having a number of changes implemented due to the fact that it would not satisfy the requirement of the European Broadcasting Union. The next edition will be held in the Pallati I Kongreseve in Tirana and following Rona will definitely be a difficult task indeed. Stay tuned to escflashmalta.com for more news in the weeks to come.
