Greece: Demy Cautious About Possible Participation

Greece, one of the most successful countries to compete at the Eurovision Song Contest since their victory almost ten years ago notching a number of consecutive top ten results including earlier this year with their entry Alcohol Is Free performed by Koza Mostra and featuring  Agathonas Iakovidis. ERT, the national broadcaster is reportedly facing closure but with the help of the European Broadcasting Union, it seems that things might be solved in the nick of time to ensure freedom of speech and democracy. The media are currently speculating as to whom could represent the debt stricken nation in next years' Pan-European competition.

The twenty-one year old female artist who goes by the name of Demy was always going to be a rumoured choice considering that her profile in Greece is rising at a considerably fast level. It is important to denote that her record label is Panik Records, who were also responsible for two of the acts in this years' national final which was saw to the beginning of a collaboration between ERT and MAD TV. During the MAD Video Music Awards held a couple of days ago, Demy was the winner of the Best Pop Video of the Year and during her red carpet interview with the media, she was asked whether Eurovision was going to be a future aspiration. The female artist stated that she would like to learn how to become a true artist, saying that when she feels it is right to carry out the deed and represent her nation, she will but it is all about timing. Demy was a special guest at this years' proceedings performing Believe alongside Dima Bilan.
