On the 1st May 2015, in an effort to increase transparency and reduce doubts of tampering, the European Broadcasting Union has made public the provisional list of national jurors. Each of the participating countries, 40 in total, have nominated a panel of 6 music industry professional personnel, 5 of which will have voting rights, and the 6th who will stand in as a back-up member.

Malta, taking part in the second semi-final with the song "Warrior" written by Elton Zarb and Matt 'Muxu' Mercieca with vocals provided by Amber, have enlisted the help of five renowned music industry professionals; Howard Keith Debono, Joseph Chetcuti, Dorothy Bezzina, Pierre Cordina and Dominic Cini. Nicole Tabone has been appointed as the back-up member of the jury.

Howard Keith Debono, known in the local music industry as to being the manager of; Ira Losco (Eurovision 2002), Airport Impressions, Tribali, The New Victorians and The Rifffs is also a successful producer, event organiser and songwriter. He is joined by fellow music producer, Dominic Cini whose work has been well recognised in various competitions; L-Għanja tal-Poplu, the Summer Hit Song Contest and the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza.

The only female on the panel this year, Dorothy Bezzina, is not only a competent female vocal coach, but also sister to Gianluca, and one sixth of the group, L-Aħwa who tried to represent Malta in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. Still, the final two members of the panel are; Pierre Cordina, a Club DJ and popular radio host, whose knowledge in music has been well documented and Joseph Chetcuti, a television host and violinist who knows a thing or two about the Eurovision Song Contest, having accompanied Olivia Lewis back in 2007.

They will be voting in both the semi-final and the final round of the competition with their votes owing to 50% of the final result. We urge you to stay tuned to escflashmalta.com even on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news.
