The event shall be hosted by Daniel Azzopardi and Charlene Mercieca, neither a television host but both well-known with the public, with the latter having recently been in the public eye following a battle with cancer, and the latter being a leading male actor in the series ‘Strada Stretta’.

In August of 2013, escflashmalta.com went ahead and published a snippet of a debut single, one entitled Take a Look co-written by Ramzi and Rhiannon, the latter also being the vocalist. Many might not realise that the female singer/songwriter was the original female backing vocalist on the song My Dream, representative entry of Malta at the 2010 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. At the time of the competition though, she was ineligible to perform it on the international stage due to being just fifteen (15) years old, and had quite some time before turning sixteen (16).

It has been four (4) years since then and Rhiannon has grown in experience and talent, as exhibited in her debut single which has officially made it’s online debut through a lyric video which you may view at the end of this feature. Ramzi is becoming a household name in the local music industry, having successfully worked with Norbert and Maxine Pace, both of whom were nominees in this weekends’ edition of the Malta Music Awards which will be aired on Television Malta in the next couple of days. R’n’B infused with Pop is the best way to describe Take a Look which will surely be an instant radio hit due to it’s infectious tune. Stay tuned to escflashmalta.com for all the latest news.

Rhiannon, originally known behind the scenes as the female backing vocalist in My Dream composed by Jason Paul Cassar to the lyrics of Sunny Aquilina with lead vocals by Thea Garrett. As many remember, the track eventually went onto represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest with Pamela, Nadine Axisa and Jacqueline Pace Delicata appearing as female backing vocalists. The problem for Rhiannon at the time was that she was just sixteen years old and unable to take to the international stage. Almost four years later, the young female vocalist is set to take the local music scene by storm as she plans to reveal her debut single on Malta's Top Ten with Nathan D which airs weekly on 89.7 Bay.

The debut single entitled Take a Look is a co-write between Rhiannon and Ramzi, the latter of which has already found success in recent weeks with the track Fed Up by Maxine Pace, a former participant within the Malta Junior Eurosong competition. In recent years, this portal has helped promote the local music scene to the best possible capacity and therefore made contact with Rhiannon prior to the full release of her debut single. Following a quick discussion about her upcoming plans for the near future, we came to an agreement to exclusively preview forty-five (45) seconds of her debut single which remember will be available to listen to through all major radio stations within the next couple of days. We would like you to stay tuned to escflashmalta.com for all of the latest news about the local music scene.
