Exclusive: Disco Lemonade by Stefan Galea

The local music scene has been gladly undergoing a notoriety of changes in the past couple of years noting that the old guard is somewhat stepping down leaving a flock of new individuals to take centre stage and the limelight. One of the youngest artists to grace the scene in fact is none other than sixteen year old, Stefan Galea whom the audience will remember from the Junior Eurosong competition back in 2009 having competed with the self-penned Shake Up Wake Up. In recent months, he has released various tracks such as Take It Leave It, The Fittest Girl In History and Can't Wait. All of the songs were received well and this showed with regards to chart success but Stefan has evolved and so has his music. In fact, following a short break he is back with the track Disco Lemonade.

Disco Lemonade has been written by none other than Charlie Mason who has worked with some of the most prominent people in the music industry including Ashley Tisdale, Miley Cyrus, Eric Saade and Sarah Connor. The same individual was also the producer to the track which has been described as a mixture between pop and dance with the right toppings that could make it a summer hit. Stefan Galea officially started his career at an extremely young age but he has developed his talent in a relatively remarkable way. He has also tried to enter the upcoming edition of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest with the song Meant for More but unfortunately did not manage to make it through to the semi-final stage of the competition. In recent months, Galea has also become a notable artist managed by Maddee Dargue of A4F Music having the opportunity to perform with Ira Losco and also The Cheeky Girls whilst touring the islands. Have an exclusive listen to Disco Lemonade just below and let us know what you think. In the meantime, stay tuned to escflashmalta.com for more latest news.

In recent days, the Public Broadcasting Services released the rules and regulations of the 2013 edition of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest with potential submissions to be handed in at the end of the next month and there seems to be growing interest amongst some of the younger talented artists on the Maltese Islands. It has to be pointed out that the jump from the Junior Eurosong to the senior competition is not easy and not many have accomplished the feat with the past two years seeing the likes of Marilena Gauci, Sophie Debattista and Danica Muscat succeed in making it through to the live shows. The latest name who wishes to join the elite list is none other than Stefan Galea who took part in the Junior Eurosong competition back in 2009 with the uptempo track Shake Up, Wake Up. He has spoken to escflashmalta.com about his intentions to submit in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest.

Since taking part in the Junior Eurosong competition, Stefan has gone onto accomplish several feats in the local music industry by virtue of signing a record deal with Aiming 4 Fame Music which is led by none other than Malta Music Award winner; Maddee Dargue. As a matter of fact, in the past couple of months, Stefan has gone onto release at least three singles in the market; Can't Wait, Take It Or Leave It as well as The Fittest Girl In History. All of the songs are relatively catchy and get the listener humming along instantly but then again, Stefan has accomplished more noting that in recent months, he was also part of the cast in the hit musical drama series; D.R.E.A.M.S which will be returning to Television Malta as from this Wednesday night with the full support of escflashmalta.com as always. Stefan Galea confirms to the editorial team that he will be submitting three entries for the Malta Eurovision Song Contest in hope of making it at least to the live stages of the competition. We would like to wish him and anyone else submitting, the very best of luck as this journey commences.
