The programme which will also feature Karl & Romina Bonaci as hosts is going to entertain the public, who have decided not to brace the cold, and stay in the comfort of their own home. Karen DeBattista, Raquel, Amber, Brooke, Lawrence Gray and Domenique are among the singers who will be performing on the show, whilst performances from the Dancel Dance Studio are also expected. Not only, but those wishing to see how other countries around the world are ushering in the New Year will have the opportunity to do so this evening, as F Living will be linking to various nations around the globe. We urge you to tune into F Living, as well as stay tuned…
Lawrence Gray, an accomplished male singer/songwriter, a three time runner-up in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, and also recent finalist with "The One That You Love", co-written with Elton Zarb recently gave an interview to Deo Grech on "The Celebrity Night" which airs on Saturday nights on F Living. In light of his most recent participation, Lawrence felt 'disappointed' for the simple reason that the 'public reaction was extremely positive' and as a result did not expect to finish as lowly as 8th place. He went onto add, that without the support of Maronia, his wife, he would have long given up on the music scene, 'opting out of it', and vying for other strongholds in life. We do agree, as that position was definitely unwarranted, as were many others during the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2015. Lawrence Gray, is a versatile male singer/songwriter who has twice been denied the…
Erseb Productions, a renowned company in the local festival circuit with well over thirty years of experience, has given rise to several talents along the years, including artists such as former Eurovision Song Contest representatives; Fabrizio Faniello (2001, 2006) and Miriam Christine (1996). With a spectacular range of promising talent, the local music scene in Malta continues to evolve, and there is a general feeling that talent is to be promoted on the international circuit. During the end-of-year competition, aptly titled "Erseb Goes Christmas", the organisers revealed that a number of all-rounders would be given the opportunity to represent Malta in various international competitions. La Voix Academy under the tutelage of vocal director, Gillian Attard was the most successful in terms of students who acquired these tickets, managing 16 out of the 18 possible slots. The other 2 students are successfully taught by Glen Vella, a former Eurovision Song Contest…
'The Celebrity Night' is a weekly television programme which has become somewhat synonymous with Saturday evening, is broadcast on F Living Channel. The series which officially kicked off at the beginning of October revolves around the one-to-one interviews, which speak of class, decadence and wit, and have become synonymous with Deo Grech's presenting style. Brooke, a female singer/songwriter, based in London, has been putting her skills to the test in recent years, finding success with "Achilles Heel", "Love Not War", "Fairytale" and "Achilles Heel", all culminating in the 2013 Best Female Artist Award at the Malta Music Awards. She will be joined by a veteran singer/songwriter, Lawrence Gray, who has twice finished as the first runner-up in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest; in 1999 with "The Right Time" and in 2003 with "Why Not?". In just a couple of days, various areas of the world will be celebrating Christmas, a joyous holiday which commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ. An original song with the title "Milied ta' Tama", composed by Philip Vella to the lyrics of Peppi Azzopardi, was originally published in 2011 featuring the vocals of Petra (MESC 08, 11, 13), Mikaela, Mike Spiteri (ESC 1995), Pamela (MESC 05-09, 14), Neville Refalo (MESC 05) and Vince Fabri, but now been re-recorded. In this new version, one could note the Ekklesia Sisters (MESC 15), Gaia Cauchi (JESC 13), Federica Falzon (JESC 14) and two upcoming stars in the form of Destiny Chukunyere and Veronica Rotin. With a fresh new coat of paint, the song is very much relatable to the season, whilst acknowleding a local element. In the past couple of years, charity has been one of the most pivotal aspects in the creation of a state, which while somewhat limited in resources, is not lacking in generosity, with record funds being targeted and achieved every year. "L-Istrina" is the most important charity event, with funds given to various organisations. As a means of supporting this noble gesture, a theme song is recorded, and what is intriguing is that several familiar faces make an appearance, all in the face of charity. This year, the song is entitled "Int Min Int", and is composed by Dominic Cini to the lyrics of Giovann Attard with production entrusted to Elton Zarb of Freetime Productions. "Int Min Int" features the vocals of; Amber (ESC 2015), Dominic (MESC 2015), Renato (ESC 1975) , Ina Robinich, Federica Falzon (JESC 2014), Gaia Cauchi (JESC 2013), La Barokka, Mary Spiteri (ESC 1992), Mary Rose…
Veronica, a ten year old female vocalist, who was also a finalist in the 4th edition of the hit television programme Io Canto, has been busy in the recording studio in the past couple of months, putting together the finishing touch on her debut album, Veronica Rotin, a compilation of cover versions. Featuring a songbook of true musicianship, ranging from All by Myself to And I Am Telling You as well as the contemporary Domino and Thunder, originally by Celine Dion, Jennifer Holliday and Jessie J, the sky is the limit for Veronica, who showcases her full vocal range throughout the record. Apart from her role as a vocalist, Veronica has recently taken on the challenge of hosting a radio programme, “Is-Sewwa Magħruf” alongside Gaia Cauchi, George Cremona and Martha Carabott on RTK, discussing issues of everyday life whilst looking at things from a different perspective. Veronica Rotin, comprising of…
It is a fair comment to pass that bands whose sound does not evolve, are somewhat archaic and stuck. Red Electrick have definitely made this their mantra, having developed a sound which, whilst instantly recognisable, is also very current. Their latest release "Young Again", echoes a similar aura to "Paul", their hit single from 2013, but this is bigger, and better, not too mention, featuring the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra. Matthew James Borg, Raphael Tonna, Ivan Borg, Jonas Delicata and Peter Borg are without a doubt extremely talent musicians, with a true penchanct for live performances. Yet, the standout element surely has to be the distinctive vocal performance of Matthew James Borg, who has proven on countless occasions, that when the music is stripped back, his voice is vulnerable to the surrounding air, creating gooseflesh, leaving a mark, a deep meaning and an eventual yearning for more. Winners of the Best…
