El Sueño de Morfeo will be representing Spain in the upcoming edition of the Eurovision Song Contest taking place in Malmö, Sweden with the track Contigo Hasta el Final which won both the public and the jury vote during the selection entitled Destino Eurovision which took place on TVE during the past couple of hours. The evening moved at a relatively quick pace noting that the evenings' guests including; Pastora Soler, Alex Ubago, La Musicalite and Italian artist Nek all performed with this years' representatives. Being part of the elite big five, Spain will be competing directly in the final of the international showcase but will also be voting in the second semi-final where Malta will be competing.

As already mentioned on previous occasions, El Sueño de Morfeo have been around for quite some time noting that they have released five studio albums, three of which managed to rank in the top ten with their recent release managing a top twenty finish. They have been nominated for the Best Spanish Act at the Music Television Awards on two occasions, the first time in 2005 missing out to El Canto del Loco and the second time in 2007 also missing out, this time to Violadores del Verso. Tonight, they performed three entries which they co-wrote together and that is the original element behind the group, one which they will be trying to point out during their experience at the Eurovision Song Contest.
