This will be the sixth participation of Georgia in the Eurovision Song Contest, a competition which is considered to be highly professional in terms of song and production quality. The Eastern nation has put in a lot of resources towards the showcase in the past couple of years and despite their withdrawal in 2009, due to the fact that the event was moving to Moscow, in Russia. It seems that they have somewhat understood the highs and lows having managed to qualify on four occasions, and missing out just once, that being last year as I'm a Joker by Anri Jokhadze could only muster up 36 points in the semi-final to finish in fourteenth place.

This year, rather than going through the process of a national selection which does not seem to yield any significant results, GPB which is the public broadcaster of Georgia internally selected a duet involving Sopho Gelovani and Nodiko Tatishvili with notable songwriter; Thomas G:Son called onto write the song which they will eventually be performing in latter half of the second semi-final. In the beginning of February, it was revealed that the song is entitled Waterfall and as expected is a romantic duet in the vein of Run by Snow Patrol. As publically presented earlier this morning, the track is a ballad, which will most likely score well although, the performance on the night along with the running order will indeed be extremely important.
