MRT, the broadcaster responsible for the participation of the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia within the Eurovision Song Contest has just revealed that Tijana Dapcevic is set to carry the flag at next years' international showcase taking place in Denmark. In Sweden, earlier this year, it was Esma and Lozano who did their best but nevertheless, their entry Pred Da Se Razdeni could only muster twenty-eight (28) points to finish in sixteenth place.

Tijana becomes the second artist selected for the 2014 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest following the revelation that Valentina Monetta will be representing San Marino for the third consecutive year following her near qualification miss in 2013 with the track Crisalide (Vola) composed by Ralph Siegel to the lyrics of Mauro Balestri. Tijana is a renowned female vocalist whose heritage is purely Balkan including a father from the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia and a Serbian mother from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

She has already tried to go to the Eurovision Song Contest in the past, having tried to represent Serbia and Montenegro in 2006 with the song Greh which finished in eight place during the Evropesma with a total of twenty-seven (27) points. She was also the winner of the Sunčane Skale festival back in 2002 having performed the hit track Negativ which was then included in her sophomore record. Stay tuned to escflashmalta.com for all of the latest news with regards to the local music scene and also the Eurovision Song Contest.
