Romania, one of the countries which is yet to miss the final of the Eurovision Song Contest since the introduction of the semi-final system is supposedly debating whether to take part in the international competition according to Dan Manoliu, the Head of Delegation and Head of Entertainment at TVR, the national broadcaster. Earlier this year, against all odds, Cezar and his entry It's My Life made it through to the final, managing a thirteenth place, far better than results achieved by Hotel FM (2011), Elena Gheorghe (2009) and Nico & Vlad (2008).

Mr Manoliu went on record stating 'apparently not ... unfortunately' to a question which stated whether Romania would be present in Copenhagen, Denmark. Later on that statement was amended to state 'there nothing's certain yet'. Romania have been ever so present in the competition, having taken part for fifteen (15) years, including the last twelve (12) in succession. A withdrawal would definitely not mark good news for former representative; Ovi who is planning on making his return to the competition in Romania. It is unknown whether Paula Seling would be joining him though. Stay tuned to escflashmalta.com as we follow this story develop.
