AvroTros, the national broadcaster responsible for the participation of The Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest have just announced that a duet featuring Ilse de Lange and Waylon, formally known as Common Linnets will fly off to Copenhagen, Denmark. This does not really come as a surprise, considering the success achieved by Anouk and her entry Birds which finished in ninth place at this years' edition of the international competition. AvroTros have joined forces for the very first time, and will therefore be hoping to make a positive first impression.

Ilse de Lange is one of the most popular female vocalists in The Netherlands, having successfully released seven (7) studio albums, six (6) of which have peaked at number #1. She will be joined on stage by Waylon, a finalist on Holland's Got Talent who released his debut album Wicked Ways in 2009, one which peaked in the top five (5). The duet will surely feature a pop/country song, something middle of the wrong in the vein of Hello Goodbye, performed at the Melodifestivalen by Tone Damli and Erik Segerstedt. The song will surely be revealed closer to the date of the Heads of Delegation Meeting although the announcement is surely positive, with several fans proving to be optimistic. Stay tuned to escflashmalta.com for all of the latest news as soon as it becomes available.
