14th February 2014, the original date planned for the announcement and release of the song that will be sung by Valentina Monetta at this years' edition of the Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of San Marino has just been moved ever so slightly in order to accomodate the finishing touching. SMRTV, the public broadcaster of the micro-state gladly selected the versatile artist for a third consecutive year following disappointing results with The Social Network Song and Crisalide (Vola) in the past two years.

Late in 2013, Valentina Monetta's record label contacted the local and foreign press with a story that a surprise was set to be revealed on Christmas Eve. It ended up being a duet with Joshua Alamu entitled A Kiss, which will also be in her upcoming studio album which mostly features tracks co-written by Ralph Siegel and Valentina Monetta herself. The song for the upcoming edition of the Eurovision Song Contest is expected towards the end of February, beginning of March. Stay tuned to escflashmalta.com for the latest news as it becomes available.
