Belarus, not one of the most successful countries to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest, having only managed qualification on three occasions; Work Your Magic sung by Dmitry Koldun in 2007; Butterflies performed by 3+2 in 2010; and Solayoh choreographed to perfection by Alyona Lanskaya in 2013. A national final held during the course of the evening determined their representative for the next international spectacle, that being TEO with the song, most presumably being Cheesecake, the one performed during the selection.

BTRC, the public broadcaster in Belarus did not contemplate the possibility of a first place tie, something that happened and had to be quickly addressed as both the participants and the viewers were growing anxious to see which act had garnered the maximum points. As each jury member was asked to re-declare his vote, it was TEO and his entry Cheesecake which managed to overcome Max Lorens & Didyulya and the song Now You're Gone. The winning artist resembles both Pasha Parfeni and Robin Thicke, in looks and music genre. A music video for the entry has already been shot and is very much based on the latters’ worldwide hit, Blurred Lines. Stay tuned to for all of the latest news.
