Lithuania: ‘Eurovizijos’ features Maltese Writers

Eurovizijos, the national selection which will see to the selection of the Lithuanian representative and entry for this years’ edition of the Eurovision Song Contest has officially entered into a second phase in recent days with the revelation of sixteen (16) tracks, one of which will eventually be chosen to honour the colours of the Lithuanian flag in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Amongst the titles, we were quick to realise that there are two (2) tracks in particular which were sent into the Malta Eurovision Song Contest on more than one (1) occasion; It’s All About A Boy composed by Ally, Elton Zarb to the lyrics of Aidan O’Connor with original vocals by Alison Ellul (Ally) and Silent Tears co-written by Jonas Gladnikoff, Natasha Turner, Ylva Persson and Linda Persson originally by Kaya, respectively. Until the 8th February, each of the eight (8) remaining artists in the Lithuanian selection will be given two (2) songs, with potential entries and thus performers eliminated until eventually, four (4) candidates remain, and perform their one (1) remaining entry and competing for the jury and public vote. In the event of a tie, the former will take precedence.

The broadcaster is also giving fans the option to vote for your favourite entries in order to get a better feel of what the continental perception is leaning towards.
