Dober Večer! In Slovenia, the selection process is simple noting that seven (7) artists invited by the public broadcaster, RTVSLO will be competing for the right to represent the country in this years' edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, being staged in Copenhagen, Denmark. Misa Molk, Darja Svajger and Andrea F were responsible for selecting the artists and now it will be all up to the general public to select their representative and entry with the hope of turning around the recent bout of negative results, including a last place finish in the semi-final a couple of months back, despite being an early fan-favourite.

escflashmalta.com will be following the event LIVE, through the official website of the Eurovision Song Contest where a webcast is being offered. Despite the fact that the public will be choosing, there will still be two (2) rounds of voting, with the top two (2) artists competing against each other in a super-final. Apart from the competing entries, the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest representative Maja Keuc will be performing a brand new single, as she continues to dominate the music scene. The host of the show will be none other than Una Furlan. Tune in and enjoy yet another national selection.

Following the first (1st) round of voting, it was Muff with the song Let Me Be (Myself) and Tinkara Kovac with the song Spet / Round and Round. Nevertheless, the Slovenian public was in full control of the selection and chose the latter with a total of 7932 votes as opposed to 3450, meaning that it was almost a 5000 point different. The song has been co-written by the renowned songwriter Raay and last years' representative Hannah Mancini who had finished last in the semi-final. We urge you to stay tuned to escflashmalta.com for all the latest news as soon as it becomes available.
