Dilara Kazimova, internally chosen to represent Azerbaijan at the 2014 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will be visiting Malta over the next couple of days as part of an international promotional tour which will see the female vocalist tour a total of five countries including The Netherlands, Russia, Georgia and Hungary. Performing Start a Fire co-written by Stefan Örn, Johan Kronlund & Alessandra Günthardt during the first semi-final will mean that the Mediterranean nation will not be able to support the song during the qualification phase, but then again, support in the final would be rest assured as Malta and Azerbaijan continue to strengthen relations.

Supported through a promotional campaign led by Euromedia Company, and digitally released on Amazon, iTunes and Spotify through CAP-Sounds with distribution by Universal Music Germany, it seems that the Azeri entry is heading for yet another positive result. Fans of the Eurovision Song Contest will definitely know that the eastern country has been a member of the elite top ten when it comes to the competition since their debut entry back in the 2008 edition, which in turn remains to this day, their worst result, achieving eighth place with a total of 132 points. We urge you to stay tuned to escflashmalta.com for all the latest news as soon as it becomes available.
