Shania Borg and Anhelica Pace, two vocalists of Singer Stage Academy aged just 10 and 11 respectively, have just returned from a successful endeavour in Mioveni, Romania where they took part in the competition "Stars of Song" under the tutelage of Kaya, a former Malta Eurovision Song Contest finalist.

'Stars of Song' spread out on four days between the 29th May and the 1st June was made up of three different categories; A, B, C with Shania taking part in the first category featuring vocalists between 7 and 10 years of age. There she performed "It's My Time", originally sung by Jade Ewen at the 2009 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. Despite this being her first international experience, the professional panel of judges were impressed and placed her second, with the first place going to Adrian Stefan from Italy and third place doing to Maria Carla Christiana Batoanca from Romania.

In the second category, featuring vocalists between 11 and 14, it was Anhelica's time to shine being awarded second for her performance of "The Voice Within". It is important to note that Anhelica was the youngest vocalist in this 21 strong artist category, and lost out to Yasemin Maria who was playing on home turf considering that she is Romanian. In third place was Yohanna Carvalhas from Portugal with the overall Grand Prix awarded to Hristina Milenova Hristova from Bulgaria. This was Anhelica's second international competition this year, having previously finished in first place in the "Little Stars" festival which took place in Russia.
