Malta: Success for Daniel Muscat in Italy

The local music scene has been greatly improving in the past couple of months and years noting that there has been a new guard of artists who have come out and done what they should be doing and that is performing. There are a number of ways of how to garner fame and one of them is through reality television series such as Entertain Me broadcasted through Favourite Channel hosted by none other than former Malta Song for Europe contestant Mariella Pace Asciak along with her son Geordie Debono. The artist at hand is none other than Daniel Muscat who is still waiting for his real big breakthrough having made it to the finals of the Malta Summer Hit Song Contest as a performer and a songwriter, failing to reach the top three on both occasions. Nevertheless, he just represented Malta successfully in Italy.

During the competition, Daniel Muscat had the opportunity to perform of more than one respective night and this is due tot he fact that there was a section dedicated to cover versions and also another section dedicated to original tracks. In the latter section, he performed none other than Tu lo Sai which is the Italian version of his latest single I Already Know composed and penned by Rita Pace. In the former section, his performance of I'm Yours, originally performed by Jason Mraz was extremely well rewarded because it was given the top prize from the judges. Succeeding in one category was a huge achievement for the singer who was yet still waiting to reach another local competition. Stay tuned to escflashmalta.com in the coming days for more news about local artists as they represent the country abroad. You can also view his winning performance just below.
