The news portal of the Public Broadcasting Services, TVM has just published a story in relation to the 2014 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, stating that the venue will be none other than the Malta Shipbuilding in Marsa. It won't be the first major music event to take place though considering that the Music & Steel Festival featuring well known bands such as; Airport Impressions, Red Electrick and Tribali amongst others took place on the 30th March.

Whilst a proper announcement is yet to be made by the Official Website of the Junior Eurovision, this was announced during a meeting between Minister Manuel Mallia and European Broadcasting Union Supervisor Vladislav Yakovlev. It is expected that several countries wish to partake in the event for the very first time including; Italy, Ireland and Hungary although negotiations are at an early stage between the Public Broadcasting Services, the European Broadcasting Union and the respective broadcasters.

Gaia Cauchi brought the competition to Malta following her success with the song The Start co-written with Elton Zarb, Matt Mercieca and Gillian Attard. This year, Malta will be represented by Ti Lascio Una Canzone Winner; Federica Falzon. We urge you to stay tuned to escflashmalta.com even on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news about the 2014 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
