'The Celebrity Night' is a weekly television programme which has become somewhat synonymous with Saturday evening, is broadcast on F Living Channel. The series which officially kicked off at the beginning of October revolves around the one-to-one interviews, which speak of class, decadence and wit, and have become synonymous with Deo Grech's presenting style.

Michelle Mifsud, a female singer/songwriter who has been on a roller-coaster ride for the past 12 months, having accompanied the group Firelight at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Coming Home", written by Richard Edwards Micallef, making it through to the final stage of the competition, and eventually going onto release an album, one entitled "Talk Dirty". She will be sharing the female spotlight with a relatively young performer, isabelleluca, who has been studying in the United Kingdom, hoping to create music with an international sound.

Klinsmann, a popular face among the younger generation, and recently fronting a band called Planet Seed, which topped the local radio charts, on more than one occasion. The male singer/songwriter has been relatively quiet in the past couple of months, not too mention shying away from the festival circuit almost entirely. Apart from denoting his participation back in 2007 with "She Gives Me Wings", written by Mark Spiteri Lucas and Rita Pace, Klinsmann also had a popular duet with Ben, entitled "This Love" which he co-wrote with Jonathan Spiteri.

Earlier this afternoon, members of the press took to the B&W Hallerne in Copenhagen, Denmark in order to watch the first dress rehearsal of the second semi-final of the 2014 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. Malta, represented by Firelight and the song Coming Home written by Richard Edwards Micallef were first up on the stage and gave a sublime performance.

Later on this evening, Firelight will have to be on top of their game once more in order to entertain the professional juries across Europe, as unveiled by the European Broadcasting Union during the first week of rehearsals. In the meantime, it is worth noting that Richard Edwards, Michelle Mifsud, Wayne Micallef, Daniel Micallef, Anthony Polidano and Leslie DeCesare, who make up the band Firelight, have been quite busy in recent days, performing in several parties including that of Israel whose Mei Finegold will perform the song Same Heart just after Malta's participation. We urge you to stay tuned to escflashmalta.com even on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news about the 2014 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Firelight made up of; Richard Edwards Micallef, Michelle Mifsud, Daniel Micallef, Wayne Micallef, Leslie Decesare and Tony Polidano were first to take to the stage this afternoon as a full run through of the second semi-final took place at the B&W Hallerne in Copenhagen, Denmark. Coming Home is being touted as the dark horse by all the media present for this year's edition of the Eurovision Song Contest and that fills the escflashmalta.com editorial team with courage as the semi-final looms closer and close with each passing day.

According to our team in Copenhagen, the vocals were strong, the camera work was flawless and the feel good factor was there more than ever. Remember that Malta will be opening the second semi-final on Thursday 8th May, followed by no less than fourteen countries, including fan-favourite Norway. We urge you to stay tuned to escflashmalta.com even on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest updates as soon as they become available. Malta will be making use of the mountain dulcimer during this years’ edition of the Eurovision Song Contest with the instrument set to be played by Richard Edwards, lead vocalist and also songwriter of the track “Coming Home”. During the promotional stop in The Netherlands for the Eurovision In Concert, travelling on the buses to and from the venue and other places, it seems that Aarzemnieki and Firelight became really good friends whilst getting to a particular destination.

In the video, which we are attaching at the bottom of this article, it shows lead vocalists of both groups interacting with each other with Richard Edwards showing Jöran Steinhauer how to play this mountain dulcimer before bursting out in a performance of "You Are My Sunshine" whilst joined by Michelle Mifsud, who is featured towards the latter part of the performance during “Coming Home”. Malta and Latvia were well received during last nights’ Eurovision In Concert, with both entries actually having a relatively mid-tempo to uptempo kind of genre. We urge you to stay tuned to escflashmalta.com for all the latest news about the Maltese representatives.

Richard Edwards and Michelle Mifsud, the instrumental figures in the group Firelight whose voices are heard throughout the song Coming Home, which will represent Malta in the upcoming edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, taking place in Copenhagen, capital city of Denmark, were included in the final line-up of the hit rock opera, Ġensna. In recent weeks, Firelight have been somewhat busy with the remastering of their entry for the international competition, along with the recording of the preview video.

Now that those are out of the day and that the production of Ġensna comes to an end this weekend, they will kick off their promotional tour with performances in The Netherlands and the United Kingdom. In 44 days, Copenhagen will wecome the first show of the Eurovision Song Contest and the organisers are currently in a rush to get everything ready for the international spectacle. Malta is seemingly one of the favourites to get out of the semi-final according to betting odds who are ranking Coming Home in fifth place. It is not the song that fans would typically go for but nevertheless, has a certain edge in quality for it to be appreciated by the general public who still follow the event and also pick up the votes. We urge you to stay tuned to escflashmalta.com for all the latest news.

A panel of professional judges, along with the general public selected Firelight and the track Coming Home, written by Richard Edwards Micallef, to represent Malta in the upcoming edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. In anticipation, the Public Broadcasting Services is working closely to the team to ensure that everything is improved upon prior to the big stage, with a dramatic new version, one which has been received well abroad, as well as a brand new line-up made up of; Richard Edwards, Michelle Mifsud, Tony Polidano, Matthew Ellul, Daniel Micallef and Wayne Micallef.

This means, that for the second (2nd) consecutive year, Malta will be making use of the novelty of having family members on stage, although instead of two (2), this time round, it boasts an incredible four (4). Apart from a small promotional tour which will see Firelight travel to preview parties in The Netherlands and the United Kingdom in the coming weeks, the group has been busy recording a music video, one which will be released in a couple of days. Nevertheless, Duane & Angie Laus have prepared a prelude to that by producing a lyric video, something which the Public Broadcasting Services coin as a 'novel way to promote music on the internet'. Watch the lyric video below and stay tuned to escflashmalta.com for all the latest news.
