Chris and Moira were also the co-writers of the Maltese entry at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1999, that being Believe In... performed by the Times Three and tried to represent the nation at the international competitions once more in 2008 when they submit the song All Right Now which despite being a radio hit failed to hit the right cord with the jury present. Chris and Moira have toured not only Europe but the world throughout the career, including the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Germany having had the opportunity to work with RAI, and Warner Music Chappel. In recent years, two senior members of the editorial team at were part of the committee behind the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza but a stunning three year experience, they have called it a day resorting to the promotion of the competition in the best possible way. The readers of the site have spoken highly of the comments passed on by professional members enlisted to review tracks for the Malta Eurovision Song Contest and the international showcase which just came to an end and thus it has been thought to introduce such a feature to a local competition.

There we are pleased to announce that all of the entries competing in this years' edition of the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza will be reviewed by Chris and Moira. The renowned duo are best known in the local music scene for representing Malta at the 1994 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest held in The Point Theatre in Dublin, Ireland. They finished in fifth place, the only time that the country managed that position as they sang their hearts out to the beautiful More than Love which they co-wrote. Chris & Moira have never shied away from a challenge and as a matter of fact, their recent material is best encompassed through a visionary set of genres, ones which are very much appreciated by the general public.

Their latest single entitled Flight 170 has been played on 89.7 Bay where it also entered the local charts. In the meantime, it is important to denote that they gave a public performance during this years' semi-finals of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest as many were awaiting the results. We await NET Television to unveil the songs in due course, noting that preview videos are expected but we would like to welcome Chris & Moira on board and hope that you enjoy their constructive critism. Chris and Moira, the representatives for Malta at the 1994 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest have somewhat been lurking in the shadows in recent years, stepping away from the limelight but it seems that the time is right to release some new material, their first in around five years. 2013, has been rather different for them noting performances all over the country as well as during the Malta Eurovision Song Contest as the results of the semi-final were to be announced. Chris and Moira are no longer a duo, havoing become a four piece band in recent years ,with the addition of Billy B on bass and Philip Borg Barthet on drums. Such a line-up has somewhat spurred them on to create new thumping sounds in the studio.

The result of the foursome will ultimately be an album, one which will be officially released later on this year as some last minute tweaks take place. Until then though, in order to quench the thirst of fans, Chris and Moira have released a brand new original single entitled Flight 170 which marks a fresh chapter in their music career. 'The song was written with a comical approach, a bit like wanting to send everyone to hell instead of the usual love story lyrics'. Rolling in with a fairground type of chime, the song quickly picks up the pace, pushing ahead over a solid rock backbeat and a catchy melody that is as immediate as it is powerful. “It is rather different from what people might have expected from us” Chris commented,  “and it is also quite different from the rest of the album, which I would say is more ‘us’ but sounding fresher than ever before”.

Flight 170 is available to stream on Chris and Moira’s YouTube channel. The single is also available to buy as a digital download on iTunes. For more information, visit the Chris and Moira page on Facebook. We urge you to stay tuned to for all of the latest news as soon as it becomes available, which is also found on Twitter and Facebook respectively.

As part and parcel of our 2010 Eurovision Song Contest coverage, we have contacted all of the former Maltese representatives at this prestigious event and some of them came to us with their greeting for the jolly Thea Garrett who will be performing My Dream penned by Sunny Aquilina and written by Jason Paul Cassar  in the first semi-final of this years' event. Today we will be bringing you the greeting of Chris and Moira.

The dynamic duo first burst onto the scene as a duo in the 1994 Malta Song for Europe when they performed the song their self-penned entry More Than Love which blew away the judges of the national selection toppling people such as Ray Caruana who represented the United Kingdom in the 1989 Eurovision Song Contest finishing in second place. Alas, the duo went to Dublin and finished in 5th place which was another brilliant result for our country with the performance being outstanding. The duo would go on to write the 1999 entry Believe In Peace to which they accompanied as backing vocalists and also an entry within the Malta Eurosong competition in 2008 entitled All Right Now which failed to make it through to the final round of the competition. They are currently working on a new album which will be released in due course.

"All the best for the Contest, we are sure you will do your utmost but whatever the result, you make sure you enjoy every bit of it cos that's what you will carry along with you all your life, the great moments!!

Take care and break a leg, regards
Chris & Moira"
