Since the Eurovision Song Contest is now just a month away, the programme has taken a different twist, as entries competing in this year's musical extravaganza in Vienna, Austria are being reviewed by some of the most recognisable faces in the local music industry.

Tonight! She will not be alone, as talented lyricist Emil Calleja Bayliss, responsible for 3 entries in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest in 2014 and 2015; "Safe", "Close Your Eyes" and "12, Baker Street", Editor-In-Chief of escflashmalta.com as well as Managing Director of Ironic PR & Artist Management, Marc Calleja Bayliss and Natius Farrugia, one of the biggest fans of the Eurovision Song Contest and supporter of the local music industry will also be on hand to discuss this year's entries. 89 submissions have been sent in to the Summer Hit Song Contest 2015, as stated in a statement published by the organising committee of the local music competition, which airs on F Living. Over the next couple of days, a shortlist of 45 entries, from which the final 17 entries are chosen will be made public on the Official Facebook Page of the Summer Hit Song Contest, and escflashmalta.com through the main portal, and the social media pages on Facebook and Twitter.

Even though the competition will feature 18 different acts, 1 has already been given the greenlight to proceed, having been given the opportunity to compete as a result of the Public Choice Award given in 2014. As a matter of fact, Rita Pace & Audrey Marie will be competing in a duet for the second consecutive year. Mark Tonna, a male singer/songwriter, who is considered a veteran of the local music scene, requires no introduction, having been a finalist in most national competitions; Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza, L-Għanja tal-Poplu, The International Festival of Maltese Song, and the Malta Eurovision Song Contest. His most recent appearance, back in 2013, at the International Festival of Maltese Song, saw him finish in second place with the song "Poeta Bla Kliem", composed by Mark Scicluna to the lyrics of Emil Calleja Bayliss, missing out on victory by just a mere 3 points.

The second guest on the show, is also a singer/songwriter, but a female one, and a pioneer in country music. I am referring to Marisa D'Amato, a former Malta Eurovision Song Contest participant, and a radio broadcaster, aiming to promote country music to the masses. The third and final guest for this week is Natius Farrugia, co-host of the Summer Hit Song Contest and also Mayor of Zurrieq. His love towards the local music scene and the Eurovision in general, has been well documented throughout the years, and as a result, has always been on the forefront of promoting artists who strive to succeed.

Michelle Mifsud, a female singer/songwriter who has been on a roller-coaster ride for the past 12 months, having accompanied the group Firelight at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Coming Home", written by Richard Edwards Micallef, making it through to the final stage of the competition, and eventually going onto release an album, one entitled "Talk Dirty". She will be sharing the female spotlight with a relatively young performer, isabelleluca, who has been studying in the United Kingdom, hoping to create music with an international sound.

Klinsmann, a popular face among the younger generation, and recently fronting a band called Planet Seed, which topped the local radio charts, on more than one occasion. The male singer/songwriter has been relatively quiet in the past couple of months, not too mention shying away from the festival circuit almost entirely. Apart from denoting his participation back in 2007 with "She Gives Me Wings", written by Mark Spiteri Lucas and Rita Pace, Klinsmann also had a popular duet with Ben, entitled "This Love" which he co-wrote with Jonathan Spiteri.

Another female singer on this evening's episode is none other than Marilena Gauci, who had the opportunity to represent Malta at the 2004 Junior Eurovision Song Contest as part of the Young Talent Team, before eventually kick-starting a solo career, one which led to her first success, in L-Għanja tal-Poplu Żgħażagħ with the song "B'Fommu Sieket". Since then, she has made the live phase of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest on two occasions; in 2011 with "He's a Demon" and in 2013 with "Overrated", the singer's predominant success has come in the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza, where she has twice been first runner-up.

Domenique, a female vocalist, who recently gained prestige and notoriety as a result of her victory at the Summer Hit Song Contest 2014 with the song "Back To", written by Mark Scicluna and Emil Calleja Bayliss, is clearly on a high, having also been a semi-finalist in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2015. She is clearly the most recognisable guest in this week's episode. Nevertheless, she will not be along, and is set to be joined by Ġorg tad-Downats, a television and radio host, as well as Carlos Farrugia, a veteran actor.
