Malta: Klinsmann Singing Lead in Planet Seed

Klinsmann burst onto the local music scene at a relatively young age noting his initial appearances in the Junior Eurosong competition with tracks such as Time Is Running Out and Warzone Children but nevertheless, he would get his big break by virtue of the 2007 edition of the Malta Song for Europe submitting the song She Gives Me Wings composed by Mark Spiteri Lucas and penned by Rita Pace finishing in third place behind the likes of Olivia Lewis who competed with Vertigo composed by Philip Vella and penned by Gerard James Borg and ultimately triumphed and Trilogy who performed the classical crossover Starlight composed by Paul Abela to the lyrics of Joe Julian Farrugia. Every edition since then, has featured Klinsmann, who as of the last couple of months becomes the lead vocalist of the band Planet Seed which also features Stefan Farrugia on lead guitar, Liam Spiteri on the Bass, and Chris Galea on the Drums.

Their most recent release entitled It's Gonna Be Ok has been receiving a lot of airplay in recent days and weeks on 89.7 Bay Radio which is the leading station in Malta when it comes to playing both local and foreign hits. Requests are seemingly pouring in as the days go by and in fact, it was announced as the eighth most played track on the station hailing from the Maltese Islands. The fusion of the instruments in the song is extremely beautiful and in fact, this is one of the bands which could easily be marketed in the vein of Airport Impressions due to the similar sound that they are bringing forward. Summer has gone by leading the way for Autumn and Winter of course and that is why this track is making a lot of noise because it also signals this change, one which the radio will be promoting in the coming days. The song gets a truly positive review from all of us here at where we encourage you to continue following as we cover all of the latest releases and news from both the local and foreign music scene in relation to the Eurovision Song Contest.
