Tijana Dapčević, internal choice of the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia for the upcoming edition of the Eurovision Song Contest recently gave a special interview to Nova Makedonija revealing that the track for the international competition, Pobeda will be officially published on the 22nd February, rather than the scheduled January outing due to several promotional reasons.

The interviewer wanted to get to know certain details with regards to the track, most of which could not be said at this point in time due to a confidentiality agree with the recording label. Nevertheless, a working version of the song has already been recorded but is still being edited out in conjuction with the songwriters, producers and Tijana herself. The power of a song usually lies in the feeling of the performer and that is something that the female vocalist is trying to ensure that the entry posesses. She wants to show the rest of Europe what a born performer she is, promising something glamorous and memorable. As announced a few weeks ago, Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia have opted for yet another internal selection. Tijana Dapčević will be representing this country in Copenhagen. It has now been revealed that Tijana will be singing an up-tempo entry titled Pobeda. The English translation is Victory and will be sung in Macedonian. Tijana stated that she loves singing ballads but thinks that an up-tempo song is more suited for Denmark. She also stated that she wants the performance to be like one big party.

Together with this announcement it has also been revealed that the public will be able to her Pobeda on 15th January 2014 during a song presentation show. A third reveleation is that Tijana’s backing vocalists are Leontina Vukomanović (who wrote lyrics for the 2004 Serbia and Montenegro entry) and Tamara Todevska (who had represented Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia in 2008 and also is Tijana’s sister).
