This years' edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest is proving to be quite different from other years due to the attention that the participants are being given in Minsk, Belarus where the event is actually taking place. The week of rehearsals commenced earlier this morning and later on today ESCflashmalta will publish a review of the day as promised before hand. The Eight edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest was one that was deemed as the resurrection of the event with the European Broadcasting Union doing their best to assure that the quality improves drastically. Selecting Belarus to host this years' edition was the best thing that they could do actually because the two time winner of the event has shown loads of interest and took things extremely seriously. In tonight’s Junior Eurovision, Malta placed 13th from the 14 competing countries, only surpassing the Ukrainian entry which has always been considered the weakest song of the contest, even by the bookmakers.
