Radio International, a Eurovision themed radio programme broadcast every Wednesday evening in The Netherlands is a major supporter of Malta’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, with the team ever so present at the selection process on an annual basis, recording interviews with each of the artists and also dedicating a special programme prior to the actual selection. As was the case in 2013, an initiative to see which songs are most preferred by listeners and fans of the event has just been launched by Radio International.

The fan poll, open to everyone, basically encompasses a typical voting pattern as assessed during the Eurovision Song Contest, meaning that your role in the process is to select your ten most favourite entries in rank order and then give them votes, in typical Eurovision fashion (1,2,3 ... 8, 10, 12). The event, being covered in detail by both the Public Broadcasting Services and escflashmalta.com is set to take place on the 7th and 8th February at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre. The latter portal will run a LIVE report led by Keith Borg-Micallef.

Voting for this fan poll will be closing on the 29th January 2014, at mid-day (12:00 CET), henceforth why it is imperative that you get cracking and submit your votes as soon as possible. By virtue of clicking here, you will access a VOTING DOCUMENT which you may send to the email in the actual document or through the CONTACTS FORM on the official website of Radio International. Remember that another edition of the programme with all the latest news will be taking place as from 20:00 CET, this evening. Stay tuned to escflashmalta.com for more news.

It is worth noting that her total participation tally stands at five (5) with the other two (2) tracks being Illejla B'Xejn (2008) and It-Tweġiba (2013). Corazon was a guest on Sibt Familja to speak about her debut album Hawn Jien, launched at the University of Malta just a couple of days ago. Earning the respect of musicians and scholars alike has not been an easy feat but with crisp diction and clear vocals, this was achieved. the escflashmalta.com awards presented by ONE Radio 92.7 are already in full swing with the media and the critics casting their votes and opinions and the public selecting their most favourite entry, after being given the choice to select only one (1) of the twenty (20) competing entries in next years’ edition of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest. As soon as the preview videos were published by the Public Broadcasting Services and Television Malta, it was important to get the projects going and the current standings are intriguing, especially because the outcomes are proving to be varied.

The Public Award, as decided by each of the voters who are visiting escflashmalta.com on a daily basis is turning up to be a heated affair between two entries; Because I Have You, written by Paul Giordimaina and Fleur Balzan with vocals by Amber and One Last Ride written by Stephen Rudden and Lawrence Peter Bridge. The first is of course, a former runner-up of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest and the second having represented Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, achieving the second best result, that being a fourth place back in 2008. Cementing herself in a top three position is none othen than fan favourite; Jessika whose entry Hypnotica has certainly been the talk of the town across the message boards.

At this point in time, we have received more than 1200 individual votes, and that is an amazing figure for around four days.
