The Malta Eurovision Song Contest has gained a considerable positive reputation in the past couple of years for offering a programme of variety across both evenings with a general competition and some intriguing special performances from a number of local and foreign guests noting the presence of artists such as Anggun, Sinplus, Ell & Nikki, Riccardo Cocciante, Blue and Marcin Mrozinski amongst others. The Public Broadcasting Services introduced the final of this years' competition in a manner that no one was expected due to the fact that the cast of popular musical drama series, D.R.E.A.M.S took to the stage and performed a medley of original songs and written by Maestro Ray Agius and penned by Michael Vella Haber and Evelyn Saliba La Rosa. Earlier this year, the series was renewed for a second season and therefore, Anton Attard thought it was best to reintroduce the show with the magnificent talent that the country is offering weekly on television.

For those who might not know, the series focuses on the storylines of several characters, mostly teenagers who encounter the realities of daily life on a routine basis and have to come through them in a positive manner. Unfortunately, this might not always be the case and sometimes the cobweb that is created continues to grow until it somewhat emerges into a secondary storyline. In the meantime, the most difficult situation is also explained or rather dealt through the medium of song and therefore, the presentation of the tracks in Maltese language has been music to the ears of many. Amongst the individuals who have become rather synonymous to the public are; Brandon Cutajar (Jean Pierre Cassar), Jade Vella Petroni (Rachel Genovese), Jasmine Vassallo Grima (Rachael Tedesco Triccas), Katia Demicoli (Jade Cini), Chloe Stafrace (Michela Dalli), Tiffany (Kristen Camilleri), Antoinette Balzan (Annalise Psaila) and Emma Vella (Kayleigh Cassar) amongst others. Stay tuned to for all of the latest news on the 2013 edition of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest.
