Members of the Team of Radio International are in Malta for the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in which the song that will represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan come May 2012 will be selected.

Public broadcaster pbs kept the same format of the contest like in 2011 in which 24 Semi Finalist compete for the Top 16 places on Friday 03 February 2012. The Top 16 will advance to the Grand Final on Saturday, 04 February 2012 coming from the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre (MFCC) in Ta'Qali in the heart of Malta.  The winner will then represent Malta in Baku at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012.

During the week in Malta, Radio International will work very closely together with bringing you interviews on audio and video. Watch out for that!:)  At this point Radio International would like to thank Anna Dalli from pbs and for their kind cooperation in getting this particular radio programme together.

To get you already into the mood for the Semi Final on Friday, it is vital that you listen to this weeks very special edition of Radio International and hear all the 24 songs that are competing for the ticket to Baku. Also there will be some other highlights during the show. Since the team is on location we cannot take any requests during the show. The normal format of the show returns next week. But also it is a very special show as the show will be co-hosted by Sietse Bakker from the European Broadcasting Union.

May the best song win and enjoy the show with all the 24 contestants and some former Maltese Eurovision nuggets.  You can follow more details of the show through the official page of Radio International or through the Eurovision Blog.
