One of the countries that has been making a lot of headlines as of late due to the fact that the Eurovision Song Contest is taking place within Baku, Azerbaijan is none other than Armenia but it seems that they have come to security agreement confirming their participation just a couple of weeks ago. There has been a lot of talk about the method of selecting the artist but it seems that another internal selection will be taking place with the announcement set to be made by the Heads of Delegation Meeting.

The Head of Delegation, Gohar Gasparyan from ARMTV confirmed this news to the official website of the Eurovision Song Contest. The announcement will be made closely to the deadline in order to ensure that all the time is spent well. The decision will be taken through an expert jury which will comprise of television professionals from 'The Public Television and Radio Council', musicians and producers. This will mark Armenia's seventh participation in the largest musical event in Europe with their best result being a fourth place in 2008 thanks to Sirusho and her song 'Qele Qele'. Last year the country failed to qualify to the final for the very first time thanks to Emmy and her song 'Boom Boom'. Keep following ESCflashmalta for all of the latest news as soon as it becomes known.
