One of the most successful nations at the Eurovision Song Contest throughout time has surely been France having managed to secure the top position on no more than five occasions, the last of which coming back in 1977 when Marie Myriam took to the stage with the beautiful ballad 'L'oiseau et l'enfant' although they were very much close to victory in 1991 when Amina Annabi finished in tied first place with her track 'Le Dernier Qui a Parlé' before finally missing out. There is a lot of pressure for the country to suceed in the musical event once more and therefore, they have enlisted the help of the popular Indonesian born artist; Anggun.

The song that the renowned performer will take to the stage with has been given the name 'Echo (You and I)' and it as been composed by Jean-François Pilot and penned by William Rousseau. This is a very successful songwriting team actually having worked on a number of track stogether including Christophe Willem who is one of the leafing male artists in the country as well as last weeks' number 1 single in France. The song has been officially released on all legal digital platforms today but then again, you can still have a listen to the track and voice your opinion. Last year, France were tipped for victory by most polls and betting odds with Amaury Vassili and his song 'Sognu' which ended up in fifteenth position.
