The preparations for the 2012 edition of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest might already be in an advanced stage with the first technical rehearsals taking place yesterday but then again the promotional campaign organized by the Public Broadcasting Services (PBS) has now entered in full force with interviews and appearances on both means of broadcasting being radio and television. In the past two weeks, there has been a lot of evolution in the organization of the showcase with the addition of Frank Zammit to the previously announced comperes being Ronald Briffa and Elaine Saliba who both have taken up roles at the television broadcaster; TVM in the past couple of weeks. One of the main attractions of radio in the country is the breakfast show and with Frank & Ron buzzing in every morning, it is no wonder that the rating of 'Radju Malta' are up on what they were in the past. The comedic duo are hosting the semi-finalists of the national selection every morning.

The morning breakfast show has been registering a very good morning audience which is extremely competitive with that of other radio broadcasters and this was highly expected as the duo have become quite popular over the years. One of their morning segments is actually meeting up with the participants in the competition getting to know them better noting that they will spend time together in a couple of weeks time. This is the very first time that the hosts are meeting the semi-finalists prior to the start of rehearsals. At this point in time, those who have been on the show and asked some 'embarrassing' questions have included Anna Azzopardi, Romina Mamo, Jessica Muscat, Kaya, Klinsmann, Lawrence Gray, Nadine Bartolo, Wayne Micallef and Richard Edwards whilst the pre-planned interview with Amber will be done at the end of the series as she was unable to attend for the initial round of the project. The segment with the participants is just after seven o'clock so make sure to tune into Radju Malta who is bringing you the latest insight from the artists plus also the possibility of giving you tickets to the Malta Eurovision Song Contest with give-aways.
