The decision of the public at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest a couple of weeks ago was quite clear with Kurt Calleja and his song 'This Is The Night' being their respective choice as opposed to the Jury who put him in second place but nevertheless, the preparations to present it in Baku, Azerbaijan have already begun and the singer along with his team are already undergoing a promotional tour one which took them to the host country of the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest during the selection of the artist. Next weekend, the whole team is supposedly preparing to make an appearance during the 19th Anniversary of the Tattingers Club, the same venue which hosted the pre-party to the competition last year.

He is being promoted as their special guest along with a number of disc jockeys who will be present during the night. In the meantime, the Bulgarian broadcaster responsible for the participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, BNT has just confirmed that the Maltese representative will also be present during the national final which is set to take place on the 29th February 2012. Joining Kurt will be none other than Ivi Adamou for Cyprus, Soluna Samay for Denmark, and Anggun for France. There is a lot of Maltese interest in this competition noting that singer/songwriter Rita Pace is one of the names behind one of the entries entitled 'Eternal'. You can see the running order for the show below.

01. Group ‘Go Week’ – The way you see the world

03. Steliyana Hristova - Putyat

04. Rene Ranev – Alone

05. Desislava – Love is alivе

06. Svetozar Hristov – Keep ме down

07. Simona Sivanio – Eternal

08. Yvailo Kolev ft. Hipnotik – Searching for the words

09. Sofi Marinova – Love Unlimited

10. Vyara Pantaleeva – Vyara

11. Group “New 5″- Chance for better life

12. Tsvetelin Atasanov - Elvisa ft. DZ - Love goes around

It is quite important to note that this will be quite an important destination for the Maltese delegation noting that Bulgaria will ultimately be competing i the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest, meaning alongside our nation. It also should be pointed out that they are taking part in the first part of the running order and therefore might perform just before or after us. Kurt Calleja will have to cut a slick figure, something that the Public Broadcasting Services is trying to master him to do. We would like to wish each of the contestants in the final the very best of luck especially Simona Sivanio whose 'Eternal' has a co-writer from Malta.
