Evrovizijska Melodija (EMA).One third of the songs came from around Europe (Denmark, Sweden, Croatia, Iceland and even Malta) whilst the rest were all fro Slovenia. EMA will this  year have only two artists competing for the Baku ticket, Eva Boto and Eva&Nika Prusnik. After a six week show, Misija Evrovizija chose the two participants to take part in this year’s EMA. The jury commission consists Darja Švajger (teacher of solo singing, two time Slovenian representative at Eurovision), Mojca Menart (head of the Publishing House of RTVSLO) and Aleksander Radić (head of Slovenian delegation for Eurovision) will choose six (6) songs for the girls, three (3) from those submitted, and another three (3) from invited songwriters

The song titles and the names of the authors will be known on February 16th. Songs will be premiered for the first time during a radio show on Val 202 on February 17th, while the EMA 2012 final will take place on February 26th. The nation of Slovenia has always presented itself in the best possible way on the foreign spectrum especially noting the success that the EMA has brought about throughout a number of years. Slovenia is one of the countries which is yet to win the Eurovision Song Contest having reached position number #7 on two occasions, the first time being in 1995 with Prisluhni Mi performed by Darja Svajger and the second being by Nusa Derenda and the song 'Energy' in 2001.
