Comebacks have definitely become a current thing both in the local and foreign music industries but nevertheless, when it comes to our shores, it seems that they tend to become more predominant and likely noting that Olivia Lewis has been rife about the possibility of returning to music with several appearances in a number of high profile shows but unfortunately not having the opportunity to return to the stage of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest due to the rules specifying that the last five winners of the local competition could not submit in the past two years. It is quite intriguing that Olivia Lewis is now a possible candidate for the role with 2007, the year she represented Malta with the song Vertigo composed by Philip Vella and penned by Gerard James Borg being out of that respective range. Close sources to escflashmalta.com state that Olivia Lewis is hoping for a comeback either in 2013 or 2014 respectively.

Olivia Lewis took part in the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest on countless occasions, finishing as the runner-up in 2004 with the track Take a Look composed by Paul Giordimaina and penned by Fleur Balzan, in 2005 with the beautiful Deja Vu composed by Philip Vella and penned by Gerard James Borg as well as in 2006 when she entered with a composition of Ray Agius entitled Spare a Moment to the lyrics of Godwin Sant. Ultimately, she was finally awarded her place abroad in 2007, with what many people state was a great song but maybe not the best suited to her vocal. Nevertheless with the likes of Claire Massa by her side, Olivia gave a strong vocal performance in each rehearsal and definitely competent enough in the semi-final, yet unfortunately, the competition was difficult and she was left out of the final show on Saturday night. Olivia remains one of the most popular names in the industry though and a comeback would surely be welcome. Stay tuned to escflashmalta.com as we continue discussing this issue in the coming days, and weeks.
