With the rules and regulations of the 2013 edition of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest released, there is a lot of commotion in the local music industry with several artists gearing up for a possible participation in the esteemed event which is very much popular with the local audience. Amongst the names of people who have been tipped for another try is none other than former representative Olivia Lewis who took to the stage back in 2007 with the track Vertigo composed by Philip Vella and penned by Gerard James Borg. In the years leading up to the ultimate victory, Olivia had finished as the runner-up three years in a row starting off with Take a Look composed by Paul Giordimaina and penned by Fleur Balzan, followed by Deja Vu with music by Philip Vella and lyrics by Gerard James Borg and last but not least, Spare a Moment composed by Ray Agius and penned by Godwin Sant. In an exclusive statement to, Olivia Lewis addresses her fans about the possible participation for the very first time.

I can't really comment at the moment. It has been on my mind for some time but I am still very much undecided. People have been trying to suggest that I take part again, but I still have to see. If I ever come back it has to be something really good. I can wait. I am in no rush! Olivia Lewis remains to be one of the most popular winners of the Malta Song for Europe, noting that the amount of tele-votes received were 30977, making her the most voted ever contestant. It has to be pointed out that the competition was actually quite stiff especially due to the fact that the first runner-up, Trilogy had come in third place the year before and were therefore looking more like favourites with their entry Starlight composed by Paul Abela and penned by Joe Julian Farrugia. Nevertheless, following three years of runner-up finishes, missing out to the likes of Julie & Ludwig, Chiara and Fabrizio Faniello, Olivia finally took home the crown. It will b e quite intriguing to see whether she finds the right song to return to the competition. Stay tuned to for all of the latest news as soon as it becomes available.
