Malta: Orchestra Set to Accompany Johnny Logan

Johnny Logan, the male vocalist from Ireland who has won the Eurovision Song Contest on three occasions, twice as the lead performer and once as a songwriter will be giving a concert at the Għaxaq Music Festival on Wednesday, 7th August 2013. The singer/songwriter who is originally Australian first came to fame following his international victory back in 1980 with the song What's Another Year which was a major hit in Ireland and the United Kingdom but he managed to go even further in 1987 as the track Hold Me Now peaked at the top spot in several countries. During this particular event, he will be supported by Gianluca, the male artist who represented Malta at this years' Eurovision Song Contest.

Gianluca has just accompanied Joseph Calleja during his annual concert, giving the ten thousand strong crowd a stunning rendition of Tomorrow co-written by Boris Cezek and Dean Muscat before performing a sublime duet of the song Xemx with Joseph Calleja. Earlier this year, Johnny Logan published another studio album, that entitled The Irish Connection II which he is supporting with a tour all over the continent having performed in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium and the United Kingdom. During the night, he will be accompanied by an eighteen (18) piece orchestra led by Maestro Joe Brown. Also on hand to host the evening will be Clint Bajada from the popular ONE Television show, Clint on ONE who had the pleasure of hosting escflashmalta.com preceding the Eurovision Song Contest 2013.
