In summer, Ira Losco launched her sixth studio album The Fire which spent well over two months in the top ten of the iTunes digital store and successfully spawned three singles; What I’d Give, The Person I Am (ft. David Leguesse) and Me Luv u Long Time. Nevertheless, she wanted a true connection with her fans as she commenced the search for a fourth single and therefore lined-up three songs, all of which bore a resemblance, despite being varied at the very same time. In a major collaboration with Coca-Cola and 89.7 Bay, she asked the general public, her fans to select her fourth single, and the choice was categorical, The Way It’s Meant to Be.

Ira Losco was clearly the star of this years' edition of the Bay Music Awards which took place last night at the Bay Arena in St Julians. She was awarded three prestigious awards by the end of the evening, including; the Presenters' Choice as voted by all the DJs at 89.7 Bay, the Best Song for her second single The Person I Am (ft David Leguesse) and a Recognition Award for always being there with current music for the past ten years, since the Bay Music Awards kicked-off in sterling fashion back in 2003. Remember that Ira Losco is a regular contributor at escflashmalta.com with a monthly blog in which she states her top five tracks. Stay tuned for all of the latest news.
