In 1996, a young singer/songwriter known as Miriam Christine was selected to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song In a Woman’s Heart composed by Paul Abela to the lyrics of Alfred C Sant and following her tenth place finish, has never looked back. As she prepares for her fifth participation in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest with the track Safe composed by Mark Scicluna to the lyrics of Emil Calleja Bayliss, Miriam has taken up a role as a television hostess on the programme; Poppins.

Miriam Christine is one (1) of three (3) hosts, joined also by actress Moira Muscat, and former Malta Eurovision Song Contest runner-up, Leontine who has also been away from the local music scene in the  past couple of months, having been busy with motherhood. As a matter of fact, that also very much speaks of the general subject of the programme, as the hosts deal with issues of motherhood and parenting from different perspectives due to each of the hosts having children at various ages. Poppins; the creation of Liquorish Productions Ltd airs on Television Malta (TVM) Wednesday night at 21:50 CET. Stay tuned to for the latest news.
